No matter if you are vacuuming for just a few minutes, or for hours, the comfort grip handle makes the Day Clean a breeze to use.  The standard 50 foot power cord allows for 100 feet of cleaning before needing to find a new power source.

A reinforced see thru fan chamber lets you see when the fan needs to be cleaned out or is clogged.  If there is an undetected clog in your vacuum, the heat overload protection system will shut off the vacuum avoiding a problem.

To add to the already impressive construction, Bissell added a metal foot release pedal made from hardened steel and a metal on and off foot switch.  These switches get used the most on any vacuum, so Bissell built them to last as long as the vacuum.

Tiny pieces of metal can wreak havoc on the motor if they enter.  Solving this problem is a magnet bar placed around the base of the vacuum to collect potentially harmful pieces of small metal debris.
